Mr John Ferris
Mr Ferris qualified from Bristol in 1989 and carried out his ophthalmology training at the Western Eye Hospital London, Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge, Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, Great Ormond Street Hospital London and Moorfields Eye Hospital London. He has been the Head of Ophthalmology Training in the Severn Deanery and a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Training Committee since 2010. \r\n\r\nHe designed the Simulated Ocular Surgery website, which has been instrumental in changing how ophthalmic surgery is taught around the world. He also designed the award winning Squint Clinic website. He is the author of three ophthalmology textbooks and has been an invited speaker at 10 International Eye Surgery meetings over the last 5 years. \r\n\r\nIn 2009 he was awarded a Bronze National Clinical Excellence award for his contribution to ophthalmology and surgical training in the UK.
