Dr Nik Bhandari
Dr Bhandari works as Consultant Psychiatrist for GHCFT (Gloucestershire Health and Care Foundation Trust). Besides his clinical and research roles, he is also Medical Education Tutor and Education Supervisor for medical trainees. He has 15 years of experience of working in NHS. In 2014, he completed his specialist training in Old Age Psychiatry and later in the year was awarded Distinction in MSc Clinical Neuropsychiatry. Within his daily work, he treats patients suffering from neurocognitive disorders, such as Dementia, Delirium, Huntingtons and Parkinsons, psychosis, besides functional mental health problems, such as Depression, Anxiety and Psychosis. Dr Bhandari has been involved in several research projects in the last 10 years. He is currently Chief Investigator (UK) for a Phase II trial and Principal Investigator for two Phase III trials. The data from these cutting-edge medicine trials could help develop the first disease modifying treatments for Dementia patients.
