Dr Jessica Harris
GP, Physical activity champion
I am a salaried GP, previously working in Hanham, Bristol. I have just relocated to Newcastle upon Tyne, where I will be working as a Health Assessment Doctor for the Nuffield and as an NHS GP. I have a keen interest in lifestyle medicine, in particular physical activity and how important it is. I have worked as a Physical Activity Clinical Champion, delivering teaching on physical activity, since August 2022. Outside of GP work, I also have my qualifications in Personal Training (Prescription_move on instagram!) and have worked with clients mainly from an 'exercise referral' point of view. I hope to build on this role further once I'm settled in the North East as I love training others and teaching people how important movement is. I go to the gym, I play netball and I love walking my dog too.
