Dr Andy Munro

Dr Monro has been working as a Consultant in the trust since 2004.

He specialises in Orthogeriatrics (medical care of Hip Fracture patients) and runs the Osteoporosis Clinic for patients over 65 yrs old. He also works as a Medical Examiner

Bone Health Nursing Team

The bone health service is a county-wide nurse led service, within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (GHC), established in 2008. Its aim is to assess those who have suffered a low trauma or fragility fracture with a view to secondary fracture prevention, thereby reducing the costs to the NHS and improving health outcomes. It is based on the national Fracture Liaison Service model.

Dr Zoe Brown
Specialty Doctor in Orthogeriatric Medicine
MB ChB PG Cert

Dr Brown has been working in orthogeriatric medicine since 2021, and became a Specialty Doctor in March 2023. She originally trained at the University of Bristol, before working in Gloucestershire as a junior doctor. She was a clinical teaching fellow for the university from 2018-19, during which time she completed a PG Cert in Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals. She now works on Ward 3A - the hip fracture unit - at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the osteoporosis clinic for patients over 65 years old. She has interests in quality improvement, medical education, and staff wellbeing.
