Sadaf Haque


Having spent most of my life in London latterly as an Oncology Registrar, I retrained and qualified as a GP in Gloucestershire in 2010.

GGPET was an amazing organisation to join as a trainee and being new to Gloucestershire- I was so inspired, I joined the Committee and am delighted to now Chair the organisation.

I enjoy a portfolio week, working as a Salaried GP in Gloucester and as One Gloucestershire ICS Cancer Clinical Lead (Macmillan GP)

Michael Kilshaw


I have lived and worked in Gloucestershire since 2004 and am a GP Partner at Winchcombe Medical Centre.

I have particular interests in musculoskeletal medicine and medical education.

I am a Training Programme Director for the Gloucestershire GP VTS and have been a member of the GGPET Committee since 2014.

I am a Sessional GP in Gloucestershire, previously a partner and GP trainer in Gloucester. With a continued interest in GP education, I joined the GGPET Committee in September 2015.

Olivia Munn


Having completed my GP VTS in Gloucestershire in 2002 I have been a partner at Leckhampton Surgery in Cheltenham since 2003. I am an Educational Supervisor, a GP Appraiser, I teach medical students from the University of Bristol and have role as a fellowship advisor with the Gloucestershire training hub. I joined the GGPET committee in 2019 and have been an enthusiastic part of our transition to the blended learning approach . I am diverse in my interests which I think is the beauty of General Practice however I lead in Diabetes and long-term conditions for my practice and dabble with dermoscopy!

Alison Ellis


I moved to Gloucestershire for foundation training in 2008 and have enjoyed living here since. I stayed in the deanery as an O&:G registrar and clinical teaching fellow for the University of Bristol before starting GP training in 2016.

I maintain interests in women's health and medical education.

I joined the GGPET committee as a trainee representative in 2017 and plan to stay on as a first 5 representative after I CCT in May 2020.

I work as a salaried GP and locum in Gloucestershire, having previously been a partner & trainer. I have always greatly enjoyed the educational element of my work and I am now enjoying being part of our great GGPET committee.

I took over as Book-keeper from Kate Bartlett in April 2012. I manage the accounts, liaising with Rachel Gadsden in raising and settling invoices, report to the Treasurer Dr Stuart Nelson, and present the year's accounts to Hazlewoods.

Previously I worked as Finance Manager for Sixways Clinic for 9 1/2 years.

Spent 2015 working in the Postgraduate Medical Education Department as Administrative Apprentice undertaking various administrative tasks for courses.

I am now employed in the department and will be supporting the Committee to formulate the GP Education Programme, ensure GPs are regularly informed of programme and to book online through the website. I will also be doing memberships and AGM administration.

Ingrid Barker

Chair, GHCNHSFT, GGPET Trustee

Ingrid Barker is Chair of Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. She has been Chair of Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust since April 2011.

She was previously a Non-Executive Director on the Board of NHS Gloucestershire for five years.

She is a Trustee and board member for NHS Providers, elected to represent the Community Trusts across the country.

Ingrid has undertaken national policy and service development roles through the Centre for Mental Health Services Development.

She was Deputy Chief Executive of an NHS Trust in Surrey and led Croydon Mental Health Unit as Unit General Manager, transforming institutional services to community provision.

A qualified social worker, Ingrid established a service for young homeless people in Central London and was Regional Director of MIND. She also led the creation of the first mental health Patients Councils and Advocacy projects in Britain.

Martin Nicholas

Chair, Board of GGPET Trustees

I was a partner at Leckhampton Surgery between 1988 and 2016, also trainer since 1992.

I deliver courses for the Severn Deanery to their teaching faculty, and have been involved with assessing underperforming doctors.

I have a strong belief in using education as a tool for change and quality improvement and have used it effectively to overcome barriers to progress in several spheres.

Outside interests include smallholding, school governor and outdoor pursuits.

Olesya Atkinson

I relocated to the beautiful Gloucestershire from Nottingham in 2012 where I worked as a Salaried GP and Clinical Lecturer at the University of Nottingham. I found to be an excellent way to get to know the local consultants and GP colleagues as well as giving me access to high quality education. I was GGPET Secretary from 2013-2015 and now remain as a Committee member. I work as a GP Partner at Berkeley Place Surgery in Cheltenham.

Russell Peek

Director of Medical Education GHNHSFT, GGPET Trustee

Russell is a Paediatrician and Director of Medical Education for the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is an advocate for evidence-informed quality improvement in healthcare education, interested in the impact of complexity, uncertainty and stress on clinical learners. He is a GMC Education Associate and a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators.

Stuart Nelson

Trustee and GGPET Treasurer

Dr Stuart Nelson qualified at St George's Hospital Medical School, London in 1983. He joined the Overton Park Surgery in 1989 and is the Senior Partner, a GP Trainer and Appraiser. Dr Nelson has a special interest in Diabetes and was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in November 2005. He is the current Treasurer of Gloucestershire GP Educational Trust.
